NURS 237 — Complex Health: Cognitive/Perceptual
Credit Hours: 3 Prerequisite: Acceptance to Year Two of the Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program. Building upon foundational knowledge obtained from previous curriculum and completed ADN courses, this course incorporates current standards and evidence-based practice for the professional registered nurse. The course explores the nursing care of clients with complex neurologic diseases, disorders, and injuries. Related concepts of nursing care such as pathophysiology, interdisciplinary client care planning, cultural considerations of care, pharmacological considerations and dosage calculation, as well as current research are integrated throughout activities and discussion in this course. Offered Fall and Spring.
