MEA 101 — Introduction to Medical Assisting
Credit Hours: 3 Prerequisite: Acceptance to the Medical Assisting program. Establishes foundational concepts for the medical assistant including roles, communication, professionalism, legal and ethical issues, end of life concepts, stages of grief, working in interdisciplinary teams and safety issues. To successfully complete the course, the student must achieve 100 % of course designated MAERB core competencies and a grade of B or higher. Offered Fall and Spring.
