IEM 107 — Introduction to Robotics
Credit Hours: 3 Prerequisite: None. Course is designed for someone who has no experience with robotics and has little to no experience with electronics, electricity and motors. Course breaks down the physical components that make up a robot, terminology and mathematical equations for basic design needs. The course will cover safety, understanding a robot's operational umbrella, tooling designs and applications, end of arm tooling (EOAT), power transmission systems, and basics of programming, troubleshooting and maintenance. Course will provide hands on exposure using an industrial robot(s). Offered Fall and Spring.
