HLTH 102 — First Aid
Credit Hours: 2 Prerequisite: None. Prepares the student to make appropriate decisions regarding first aid care in minor or life-threatening situations. Course focuses on basic first aid techniques and when to call emergency medical services. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and relief of airway obstruction of the adult, child and infant, as well as use of the automated external defibrillator (AED) for the adult and child, are included in the course. American Red Cross certification cards are given for First Aid and CPR upon completion of the course. Offered Fall only. HEALTH INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
