Credit Hours: 3 Prerequisite: HIT 204 with a grade of C or higher. Continuation of HIT 204 with the overview of the (International Classification of Diseases, 10th Division, Procedure Coding System) ICD 10 PCS code book with basic coding assignment / guidelines instructions and the basic reimbursement methodologies, specifically diagnosis related groups (DRGs). Intense simulation of actual coding practices on all major body systems. Continuation of preparation for CCA Exam AHIMA. Offered Fall and Spring.
