Credit Hours: 3 Prerequisites: BIO 103, HEOC 119 and HIT 224 with grades of C or higher. Corequisite: HIT 224. Overview of the (International Classification of Diseases, 10th Division, Clinical Modification) ICD 10 CM code book with basic coding assignment/guidelines instructions and the basic reimbursement methodologies, specifically diagnosis related groups (DRGs). Initial preparation for CCA Exam AHIMA. Offered Fall and Spring.
