HIT 100 — Introduction to Health Information Technology
Credit Hours: 3 Prerequisite: ENGL 070 with a grade of C or higher or equivalent placement scores. Introduction to the health care field and health information management. The health record is analyzed for content and use as it relates to documentation requirements, health care personnel responsibility, security, and organizational structure. Addresses the current and future direction of health information management. Offered Fall and Spring.
