DMS 120 — Sonography Principles and Instrumentation I
Credit Hours: 3 Prerequisite: Acceptance to the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or consent of program director. Comprehensive instruction on acoustic physics, Doppler ultrasound principles, hemodynamics, and ultrasound instrumentation. Bioeffects, safety and the interactions between ultrasound and tissues will be presented. Quality assurance, quality improvement and sonography department protocols will also be covered. Offered Fall only.
