DH 128 — Local Anesthesia

Credit Hours: 2 Prerequisite: Acceptance to the Dental Hygiene program. Course prepares dental hygiene students for the safe, effective administration of local anesthesia. Included are content areas in anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and emergency management. Laboratory sessions provide actual experiences in administration of local anesthetics. Offered Summer only. (1 lecture, 1 lab)
