Examines the origins, philosophy and objectives of the juvenile justice system in America including the concept of juvenile delinquency and its causes, juvenile case dispositions and juvenile detention procedures. Close attention will be placed on the organization, function and jurisdiction of juvenile justice agencies and the application of the Missouri Juvenile Code. Offered Fall and Spring.
