ENG 213 — American Literature 3 3 0
American Literature covers the period of American writing from 1600 to the Civil War with emphasis placed on the content of the individual work, its author, and their milieu. Such an approach will enable the student to grasp the meaning of the literature, as well as how and why it was written. A student should then be able to appreciate American literature as one of the expressions of American life. (H3-914) Prerequisite: ENG 101 or P/I. Code Course Name Credit Lecture Lab
