BCN 4787C — Construction Capstone Project
This course represents the second capstone experience for the BAS Construction Technology program, focusing on full-scale project execution, field management, and closeout. Students apply knowledge and skills from prior coursework—including estimating, scheduling, financing, visual design and construction (VDC), immersive technologies, and project management (BCN 4709C)—to simulate or manage a comprehensive construction project from mobilization through completion. Emphasis is placed on field coordination, quality control, contract administration, cost and schedule monitoring, safety management, and final project documentation. Students will act as lead construction managers or superintendents, managing resources, subcontractors, and stakeholders in an applied, project-based environment. This course complements BCN 4709 by transitioning from planning and preconstruction focus to hands-on execution, monitoring, and closeout, while maintaining alignment with BAS program learning outcomes.
