Students synthesize construction documents, specifications, historical cost data, and production information to develop defensible, auditable cost estimates across multiple project phases. The course emphasizes scope definition, estimating strategy selection, risk and contingency modeling, indirect cost development, escalation, and estimate validation. Students apply professional standards for estimate organization, documentation, and communication, producing estimates suitable for owner review, internal decision-making, and bid submission.
