NURS2113 — Nursing of Children
3 Credit Hour(s) This course focuses on the adaptation of the child to physical and developmental changes from infancy to adolescence. The nursing process is utilized in determining care needs for the ill child and family with stressors associated with common health problems in a health care environment. A comparative study of the healthy child puts emphasis on principles of health promotion and physical and psychological adaptive mechanisms necessary to meet basic needs and maintain health. This is a half-semester course. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits.
