4 Credit Hour(s) This course introduces the student to the basic concepts of man as a unique individual having basic needs and the capability for adaptive responses to maintain health. With emphasis on the assessment component of the nursing process, the student focuses on the adult client’s adaptation to internal or external stressors in the environment. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits.
