MLAB2402 — Hematology & Hemostasis
4 Credit Hour(s) This course integrates the theory of hematology with application through assessment of laboratory test results. Laboratory test results are correlated with disease. Areas of study include formation of blood, composition of blood, morphology of blood cells and changes observed in blood cells in response to disease. An overview of coagulation theory is provided. This course is not designed for transfer to four-year universities. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits.
