HSER1520 — Methods of Substance Abuse Treatment
3 Credit Hour(s) This course emphasizes real-world applications in approaches to therapy as described in the counseling theories course. Routine activities that take place in typical substance treatment settings are presented. Primary settings covered are inpatient, outpatient, and the modality of day treatment. Family dynamics models, including codependency and adult children of alcoholics will be covered. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits
