This course is intended to provide a conceptual framework within which to examine social problems It provides a sociological perspective concerning some of the key contemporary social problems at the local, national, and global levels Students will critically analyze issues that affect individuals, relationships, communities, and the environment Topics will include, but are not limited to, crime, social deviance, family and generational problems, population, urban and rural problems, poverty, and discrimination

Prerequisites: SOC 110, CRJ 100
