Prerequisite: MAT 101 Intermediate Algebra or instructor approval This is an introductory general education course in the physical sciences for students with very little background in science The topics covered are selected from the fields of chemistry and physics and their relationships to other sciences, technology, and society Using and manipulating equations is incorporated into the concepts Three lecture hours, two lab hours
