ASL 202 — AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE IV
Provides continuation of ASL 201 . Advances comprehension and production skills in American Sign Language (ASL) to an intermediate-high level, covering various topics such as literature, values, traditions, history, art, politics, and environment. Emphasis is on nuanced linguistic features and cultural insights essential for effective communication within the Deaf community. Emphasizes further study of abstract concepts, specialized vocabulary, and advanced ASL literature analysis, fostering fluency in diverse professional and artistic contexts. Analyzes and appreciates works of historical, literary, and cultural importance in the ASL community. This course corresponds to the fourth year of high school ASL. [D; CSU]
