Basic Nurse Assistant Training Program-Basic Certificate

Admission to the program required. The Basic Nurse Assistant Training Program (BNATP) is designed to prepare students to assist in caring for patients and to be effective members of the nursing team under the supervision of the registered nurse and licensed practical nurse. This course provides instruction in basic nursing skills through lecture, campus laboratory and supervised clinical experiences. Upon successful completion of this program the student is eligible to take the Illinois Nurse Aide Competency Exam (INACE). Each individual who successfully passes the certification exam will be placed on the State of Illinois' Health Care Worker Registry. Program Approval The Nursing Assistant
