CNB110 — Science of Cannabis
The course will cover the history of cannabis, plant structure, growth, development, sex determination, and ecological interactions. In addition to plant biology, the course will discuss the chemical constituents of cannabis, its biochemical effects as well as production, processing and sustainability. Students will learn about the various types of cannabis, variety of uses, industrial and medicinal products derived from the plant, active constituents and their effects on an individual's health. This course contains a lab component utilizing hemp plants to study methods of growth and cultivation.
