RNSG 1413 - Foundations for Nursing Practice RNSG 1413 - Foundations for Nursing Practice This course provides an introduction to the role of the professional nurse as a provider of patient-centered care, patient safety advocate, member of the health care team, and member of the profession. Content includes fundamental concepts of nursing practice, the history of professional nursing, and a systematic framework for decision-making and critical thinking. Emphasis is placed on knowledge, judgment, skills, and professional values within a legal/ethical framework. This course lends itself to a blocked approach. Semester Hours: 4

Prerequisites: ENGL1301, BIOL2401, BIOL2402
