RNSG 1146 - Legal and Ethical Issues for Nurses RNSG 1146 - Legal and Ethical Issues for Nurses This course is a study of the laws and regulations related to the provision of safe and effective professional nursing care with attention given to the development of a framework for addressing ethical issues. Topics also include confidentiality, the Nursing Practice Act, professional boundaries, ethics, and health care legislation. This course lends itself to either a blocked or integrated approach. Student self-assessment of ability to function within each of the nursing roles is encouraged to each student become accountable and responsible for professional, personal, ethical, and legal growth and development within the practice of nursing. This course lends itself to either a blocked or integrated approach. Traditional Track Advance Placement LVN to RN Transitional Track This course must be taken concurrently with RNSG-2432, RNSG-2462, RNSG-2130, and RNSG-1251; each must be passed with a “C” or better.
