DGMD2720 — Digital Editing and Effects

( 2-2-0 ) 3 Credits UN This course introduces basic concepts related to editing and applying digital effects to digital video. It is designed to develop a fundamental set of skills and knowledge necessary to create 3D art and animation. Among other things, this course explores digital editing, compositing, motion graphics, studio lighting, camera settings, and rotoscoping. Digital editing software such as Avid, Premiere, AfterEffects, Flash, Toonboom, Nuke, and Soundbooth will be explored. This is a hands-on course, focused on learning-by-doing, and includes a lecture component. Pre-requisite(s): DGMD 1120 Concurrency: None Co-requisite(s): None
