Occupational This course provides rigorous content aligned with challenging academic standards and the relevant technical knowledge and skills necessary for entry into a course of study within the Health Sciences. Successful completion of the course prepares you to enter a variety of programs that provide opportunities for certification for employment. Lab activities are an integral part of the course. Instruction includes the healthcare delivery system, as well as communication skills, safety, health promotion, and legal/ ethical issues. This course also fulfills the state mandatory four-hour blood borne pathogens (HIV/AIDS) requirement. *For Completion Point B (Practical Nursing Program) enrollment, this course must be successfully completed within the prior two years of the start of the program.
