CJL 2100 - Criminal Law CJL 2100 - Criminal Law 3 cr. hrs. This course provides a basic introduction of rules and laws that comprise the fabric of the criminal justice system in the United States. The course describes the structure of the system, the theories underlying criminal responsibility, and the elements of specific crimes. The instruction considers the shifts in emphasis of the law makers and courts in the development of American criminal law in the global political, economic, and social climate of the 21st century.
