Occupational This course will teach you to deal with a variety of issues when interacting with the public. One of the most challenging issues is dealing with individuals who suffer from one or more of a variety of disabilities. As an officer, you must protect the rights of people with disabilities while at the same time protecting the public whether the disability is mental, physical, or age related. Further, you must identify cases of abuse, negligence, or exploitation by caregivers or others who may victimize people with disabilities. Course Designations: (CH)
