Art Appreciation is the study and understanding of the visual arts, including painting, sculpture, architecture, and other forms of two- and three- dimensional ex- pression. It involves learning basic concepts, terminol- ogy, and art styles along with elements of design and the principles of composition. Analyzing the historical, cultural, and societal context in which the work of art was created sharpens visual awareness and understand- ing of the artists’ influences.
