Advanced study of the equipment, materials, and specifications used in the construction of electrical distribution systems. Emphasis is placed on proper, safe, and advanced climbing techniques as applied to complex line construction. Students apply classroom knowledge of single-phase and three-phase line construction through hands-on laboratory activities that include pole setting, hardware installation, guying and anchoring, working with underground primary and secondary systems, conductor installation, and single-phase transformer installation.
