SOCI2260 — Parenting

This course will introduce the student to effective parenting skills and strategies for solving family problems. Emphasis is placed on parent-child relationships, developmental milestones of infants through adolescence, family communication, family composition and issues related to abuse and neglect. Parenting challenges such as single-parenthood, divorce, custody issues, stepfamily systems and conflict management will be explored. Location: B/L Classroom
