NURS2300 — Advanced Medical Surgical Nursing

3.5 credits · 3.5 hours

Students apply complex cognitive and psycho-motor skills needed to care for individuals with life-threatening and/or critical diseases and traumatic conditions. The nursing process is used to provide understanding of patients’ adaptive response to stressors and plan care, including critical care hospitalization, disease processes, and traumatic events. Related pathophysiology, diagnostic testing, therapeutic nutrition, and pharmacology are integrated throughout the course. Location: B/L Classroom
