NURS1110 — Essentials of Patient Care 1

This course introduces students to core nursing concepts related to the care of clients with chronic, stable health conditions. Students will examine pathophysiology, pharmacology, dosage calculations, and nursing interventions with a focus on understanding disease processes and the rationale for interventions. Students will examine chronic exemplars across body systems and explore medication classifications commonly used in their management. Emphasis is placed on clinical judgment and decision-making, evidence-based person-centered care. Students will apply critical thinking to connect pathophysiological concepts with evidence-based pharmacological and nursing interventions. Location: L Classroom
