JDCE 1110 - John Deere C&F Orientation and Fundamentals JDCE 1110 - John Deere C&F Orientation and Fundamentals This course introduces the John Deere construction and forestry equipment product line. Recognize machines and components by model and product identification number. An introduction to John Deere Service Advisor and Parts Advisor. John Deere service department policy and procedures are discussed as well as technician responsibilities related to product warranty, shop tickets, work orders and time management skills. This course includes safe machine operation, repair shop safety practices, understanding caution and warning labels, handling of hazardous materials and material safety data sheets. Also, training for forklift operation, lifting and rigging. Fundamentals include the proper use and care of power and hand tools, twist drills, threading taps and dies, screw extractors, thread restoration and precision measuring equipment such as micrometers and dial indicators. Proper threaded fastener identification as well as hose, tubing, fittings and connector identification. Location: M Classroom
