HLTH1450 — Therapy Aide
This course provides the student with the skills and knowledge to work as a therapy aide or tech in a variety of rehabilitation settings. Students will learn about the history of the occupational, physical, and speech therapy professions; the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), and American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Standards of ethical conduct, customer service, HIPAA, and privacy, legal issues, and safe patient handling skills will be taught. Location: L Classroom
