CSCI 1713 — ALTERNATIVE OPERATING SYSTEMS
Pre-requisite: Placement into College-Level Reading and either CSCI 1114 or CSCI 1263 (or permission of the instructor). This course is an introduction of operating systems other than the Windows OS. This course is taught from a Power user/IT technician perspective. The class examines how to establish system preferences for hardware, internet, network and desktop. Students will use the various browsers, work from the command line, and perform routine maintenance.
