ETI 1060 - Mathematical Applications in Engineer Technology Add to Catalog Portfolio ETI 1060 - Mathematical Applications in Engineer Technology This course provides students with a foundation of knowledge based on an essential set of applied mathematical tools to be successful in the manufacturing industry. Topics include basic math concepts to address common technical problems encountered in a manufacturing environment; the ability to convert between U.S. and metric measurement systems, and the use of a variety of measurement tools. In addition, students will understand the use of proportions for calculating the speed of gears and pulleys, basic trigonometry, solving for variables in a formula and calculating horsepower.
