ISE 1207 - Introduction to Manufacturing ISE 1207 - Introduction to Manufacturing 3 Cr. Hr(s). In this course students will learn basic concepts of manufacturing, technical drawings, measurements, quality and maintenance. They will learn how to read Standard Operating Procedures and document reports. Topics in print reading, part visualization from drawings and 3D models, location of key features and dimensional specifications using concepts of geometric tolerancing and dimensioning will be covered. They will learn to use precision scales, calipers, micrometers, dial indicators and other measurement instruments. Students will learn about Quality Systems, Quality control methods, statistical process control and control charts. Topics in Maintenance management and the different schemes will be covered.
