An introductory survey of theatre arts including history, dramatic works, stage techniques, production procedures, as it relates to fine arts, society, and the individual. Hours: 48 Lecture Hours Prerequisite(s): None Corequisite(s): None Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer ECDT 1023 – Intro to Early Childhood Education This course provides an overview of the philosophy, educational theories, and historical development of formalized early childhood education. The student will become familiar with theories which early childhood education is based upon and learn how to develop an effective program designed uniquely for children birth to five. The student will also obtain knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to the care and education of young children.
