MET 1010 - Introduction to Meterology MET 1010 - Introduction to Meterology (3 Credit Hours) (A.A.) This course provides an introduction to the physical science of meteorology, emphasizing the fundamental processes that drive weather and climate. Topics include atmospheric composition and structure, energy and moisture transfer, cloud formation, wind and pressure systems, air masses and fronts, severe weather phenomena (such as hurricanes and tornadoes), global climate systems, and anthropogenic climate change. Students will interpret weather maps, analyze meteorological data, and apply scientific reasoning to real-world atmospheric issues.
