Practical Nursing
The practical nursing program prepares graduates to take the state exam to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. Students are trained to work in various settings, including long-term care facilities, rehabilitation facilities, doctor’s offices, hospitals, and home health care.
Prerequisites: Minimum 2.5 GPA, Completion of HE 101, HE 102, ENG 101 (or ENG 100), BIO 160 (or BIO 271/272), Minimum grade of 'C' in recommended courses, HESI score average of 70 minimum in grammar, reading comprehension, vocabulary, and math, Biology courses completed within five academic years of admission, Ten-panel drug screen, Vaccinations
