This associate degree program prepares students to become respiratory therapists by combining didactic and practicum experiences in acute and non-acute patient care settings. The 24-month, competency-based curriculum focuses on the assessment and treatment of patients with acute and chronic lung and cardiovascular disorders. Graduates earn an Associate in Applied Arts and Science degree and become eligible to take the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) credentialing examinations.

Prerequisites: BIO 271, MTH 110, ENG 101, HE 102, All prerequisites and general education requirements must have been completed with a “C” or better, Attend a respiratory information session, Clear background check
