NURS 4307 - Nursing Care IV: Complex Care NURS 4307 - Nursing Care IV: Complex Care The development of nursing knowledge and skills appropriate for individuals experiencing complex health deviations across the continuum of care is emphasized. Opportunities to collaborate with members of the health care team to provide holistic, evidence-based nursing care to families and patients with complex health care needs are provided. Students are expected to demonstrate synthesis of knowledge from previous courses through the delivery of safe, effective care to acutely ill individuals in hospitals and other agencies (7 credit hours are divided into 4.5 credit hours lecture and 2.5 credit hours clinical learning experiences, which is a 1:3 ratio, or 7.5 clinical /week). The course includes one 1.5-hour recitation per week. Fall, spring.
