NURS 3300 - Acute Care Clinical NURS 3300 - Acute Care Clinical This is the clinical section of NURS 3307 - Nursing Care II: Acute Care . The development of nursing knowledge and skills appropriate for individuals experiencing acute health deviations is emphasized. Building upon previous theory and skills, a nursing process approach is used to plan and deliver evidence-based nursing care to individuals across the lifespan. Client education is emphasized. The campus laboratory, as well as acute care settings, provides opportunities for integration of theory to practice (7 credit hours are divided into 4.5 credit hours lecture and 2.5 credit hours clinical learning experiences, which is a 1:3 ratio, or 7.5 clinical /week [112.5 total clinical ]). The course includes one 1.5-hour recitation per week. Fall, spring.
