Knowledge and skills necessary to conduct a comprehensive health assessment for individuals across the life span are presented, including history taking, review of systems, and physical examination techniques. Emphasis is placed on integrating theoretical knowledge with psychomotor assessment skills to equip students for entry level practice (3 credit hours are divided into 2.5 credit hours lecture and 0.5 credit hours lab learning experiences, which is a 1:3 ratio, or 1.5 lab /week [22.5 total lab ]).
