ENGL 3243 - Theory and Practice of Writing Consultation ENGL 3243 - Theory and Practice of Writing Consultation This course runs in conjunction with, and is a required component of, an appointment as a consultant in the SAU Writing Center. Students will learn the theories behind and the practices of writing centers, as well as the pedagogical and interpersonal skills necessary for working with student writers on a one-to-one level. They will write about their readings and their experiences as consultants, learn how to assess the writing skill and needs of writers in a variety of situations, and explore their own understanding of the writing process. Students will also discuss ways of approaching a variety of learning styles and needs. As needed.

Prerequisites: ENGL1113, ENGL1123
