ART 3033 - Printmaking II ART 3033 - Printmaking II A continuation of ART 2023 , which will focus on lithography and monotype/mono-print. Will explore in further depth the process of printing in edition, with an emphasis on the artistic rather than the commercial aspect. All techniques will be demonstrated and explored “hands-on” while being discussed in terms of historical progression. Course content will include the mechanics of the litho press, the process of printing, color separation, remedies to print failures, and critiques. The art of matting, conservation and care of prints and the varieties of paper available will be discussed. This is a physically demanding class due to the nature of the printing process. Fall.
