Bacterial growth, metabolism and genetics are discussed in some detail. Theories and methods of destruction, removal, and inhibition of microorganisms in the environment are studied, as well as how the human body’s natural defenses act to protect us against pathogenic microorganisms, principles of wound healing, and infection control. Various significant aspects of infectious disease that occur in humans are also covered. Occupational (A.S. and A.A.S.)
