BCN 1221C - Construction Techniques 1 BCN 1221C - Construction Techniques 1 Lecture portions of this course will introduce the student to systems, methods, and equipment available and commonly used on a light construction project. A construction project will be followed from site work through dry-in during class discussions. Lab sessions, field trips and/or practical exercises will allow students to use carpentry hand and power tools and to practice the skills often required of the small contractor’s labor force. Students will perform building layout, wood floor framing, wall framing, roof framing, subfloor, sheathing, decking, and dry-in activities. Particular emphasis is placed on carpentry and the use of woodworking tools. Occupational (A.S. and A.A.S.)
