ARH 2500 - Survey of Non-Western Art History ARH 2500 - Survey of Non-Western Art History The student will be introduced to examples of painting, sculpture, architecture and decorative art using slides, videotapes and other materials reproducing art works from a variety of cultures including those of Africa, Asia, Oceania, and the Americas. Rather than following chronological outline, the course will be organized in the basis of different types of cultural models including nomadic bands, village cultures, ranked societies and urban states.
